From Life - Líf í eyðimörkinni
Life in the desert South West may look brown, dry, and dusty in the spring;
and yes it is.
However, if you look closely you find the wildflowers blooming in array of colors,
proudly displaying their beauty and wonderment.

Gleðilega Paska - Happy Easter
Happy Easter to all and everyone.
Something yellow has always represented Easter for me; walking this morning in beautiful
southern New Mexico a cactus was blooming with a single yellow flower, and the Mexican broom smiled with myriad of yellow flowers, so did my small rose bush.
Enjoy!!

TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE - MYNNINGAR
This morning I feel like a trip down memory lane. While in Iceland this past summer I got to spend some time going through my family history some of which now is literally kept in a museum.
I wonder will I become a museum piece?

Evening Stroll - Kvöldganga
Sporting their young ones, this duck family strolls around on the grass ready for crumbs; later they swim leisurely on the water. Spring is definitely here.
Sharing Monday
A worn and slightly burned Bible Companion book that I have had for a while.
This tiny book is precious and certainly worth sharing.

A Spring View
Though a country be sundered, hills and rivers endure;
And spring comes green again to trees and grasses
Where petals have been shed like tears
And lonely birds have sung their grief.
...After the war-fires of three months,
One message from home is worth a ton of gold.
...I stroke my white hair. It has grown too thin
To hold them hairpins any more.

What a night it has been here in Albany, GA.
We had such thunder and lighting all night. The electricity went out and me and my cat hid under the pillows. Promise of a new clear day today.
Rain Rain Rain rain falls on the street, mud in puddles cleaning my feet. Thunder thunder rumble and roar, close the windows and lock the door. Clouds clouds black and gray, heavy with water to drop all day. Sun sun is breaking through, clouds are moving, the rain stops too. Rainbow rainbow across the sky, see-through colours to tickle my eyes. james hörner |

SPRING - VOR
The Icelandic sheep is one of the world's oldest and purest breeds of sheep. Throughout its 1100 years of history, the Icelandic breed has been truly triple-purpose, treasured for its meat, fiber and milk.
To me being born and raised in Iceland the month of April has always meant the arrival of newborn lambs.
My uncle had a small sheep farm at the outset of my town and we would all celebrate the birth of the newborn lambs, and often be there to watch them come into the world. It is not unusual for the Icelandic sheep to have triplets and sometimes all a different color. That many babies at one time often lead to the smallest and weakest lamb being refused by the mother sheep or pushed out of the way by the stronger siblings. The small weak lamb was cared for by us, often brought home where we would feed it and care for it until it was strong enough to go back.
This meant spring was in the air in Iceland.
